Nickel and its alloys are known for their great corrosion resistance in different environments and also for their superior mechanical properties in high and low temperatures. It is mainly used in the electronic industry, food industry and under plating form. The nickel alloys are divided in two great groups : none thermal treated alloys and hardened by a solid solution (Inconel 600, Inconel 625, Monel 400, Incoloy 825, Hastelloy C, etc.) and the alloys that are hardened by precipitation (PH) like the Inconel 718 that has superior mechanical resistance properties when hot. The weldability of the hardened alloy by a solid solution is superior to the ones that have received thermal treatment (PH).
